8th Anniversary of the Linate Tragedy

Dear Friends,

eight years have passed since the tragedy and, like each year, we want to organize a day of commemoration and reflection. Here is the program:

 

Thursday, October 8

 

10:30 a.m. Holy Mass at the S. Ambrogio Basilica

Celebrated  by the bishop of Milan Milamo Mons Luigi Stucchi

11:40 a.m. Transportation by bus to the “Bosco dei Faggi”.

Deposition of flowers and lighting of candles.

 

Saturday, October 10

 

09:00 p.m. Memorial Concert at the La Scala Opera House

 

As usual, the city of Milan is offering the concert at La Scala Theater ot Milan. 

This year’s program will be a concert directed by Maestro Maestro Myung-Whun Chung with the participation of the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra, performing:

 

First part:

Italiana in Algeri Ouverture

Guglielmo Tell Ouverture

Preludio di Traviata di G. Verdi.

Forza del Destino Ouvertoure

 

Second part:

Quadri di un esposizione di Musorgskij.
